This Prowler Utility Trailer was built for Chrysler by Ajax Trailers of Warren, Michigan, to be sold new with a Plymouth Prowler. It was included with a 1k-mile 1997 Prowler offered by the selling dealer on BaT in January 2025, after which the car’s buyer decided not to keep it. This Prowler trailer is estimated by the selling dealer to have fewer than 250 miles and is now offered at no reserve with a hitch, a storage cover, and a California title.
Fewer than 1,400 Prowler Utility Trailers were produced, of which 379 are said to have been finished in purple. The trailer’s reported dimensions excluding its tongue are 55″ long x 70″ wide by 36″ tall. It has a max carrying capacity of 615 lbs and a gross vehicle weight rating of 1,000 lbs.
Taillights and amber side marker lights are noted along with electric brakes, and the 15″ five-spoke wheels are mounted with 225/55 Goodyear Eagle GS-N tires.
The top-opening hatch was fitted at the factory with gas struts, and the interior is lined with salt-and-pepper carpet.
