1987 Airstream Sovereign

This 1987 Airstream Sovereign is a 25′ double-axle travel trailer that was purchased by the current owner in 2022 and subsequently fitted with replacement flooring, seating, and curtains. The floor plan features a front lounge area, a kitchenette, a bathroom, and a bedroom with two beds. Additional equipment includes 15″ steel wheels, an extended rear bumper, an awning, and a Coleman air conditioning system. This Airstream is now offered at no reserve with an Arizona title.

Airstream introduced the Sovereign of the Road travel trailer in 1958 as part of the International line. The aluminum-clad exterior of this example features pop-out windows with screens in addition to wrap-around windows in the lounge and rear bedroom, an awning, a fold-away boarding step, equipment lockers, and an entry door with a hinged screen panel.

The 15″ steel wheels are mounted with ST225/75 Trailer King ST Radial tires. The axles feature torsion bars and shocks, and stopping power is provided by drum brakes. The chassis is equipped with a tongue jack, safety chains, and rear stabilizer jacks.

The interior is outfitted with white walls, curtains, and overhead lighting. Replacement woodgrain flooring and curtains were installed under current ownership, and the sofa is trimmed in two-tone green fabric. Additional equipment includes a Sony cassette player, a Coleman Delta TX air conditioner, and an Airstream monitor system.

The kitchenette is equipped with laminate countertops and woodgrain cabinets as well as a stainless-steel double-basin sink, a four-burner cooktop, a Magic Chef oven, residential-style power outlets, a refrigerator, and a spice rack. The central bathroom is equipped with a shower, a toilet, a sink, and a toiletry cabinet.

The bedroom is located aft and equipped with two beds, a nightstand, woodgrain cabinets, and privacy curtains.
