1973 Airstream International Land Yacht Ambassador

This 1973 Airstream International Land Yacht Ambassador is a 29’ travel trailer that was modified and refurbished by Hudson Valley Airstream before being purchased by the seller in 2020. The project involved replacing the plumbing, electrical system, flooring, window seals, appliances, and climate control systems, and the modified layout has a front lounge area with a day bed, a kitchenette, a bathroom, and a sleeping area with a full mattress. Features include mahogany countertops, hinged windows, a Bluetooth stereo, and an air conditioner as well as a True Induction cooktop, a refrigerator, and 15″ wheels. This Airstream Ambassador is now offered with a clean New York title in the name of the seller’s LLC.

The trailer measures approximately 29’ long and features an aluminum body, an entry door with a separate screen panel, a folding boarding step, and hinged windows with screens. The exterior lights have been converted to LED, and the trailer also has gear storage compartments, a black-finished tongue frame, and a rear bumper. Patches are present on the body panels, and discoloration is visible on the roof.

Steel 15″ wheels wear aluminum covers and are mounted with 7.00-series Deestone tires that are said to have been installed in 2020. Stopping power is from electrically activated drum brakes. Equipment includes stabilizer jacks, a tongue jack, and a breakaway emergency braking system. The holding tanks have been removed, and the trailer has been reconfigured with permanent connections for water, waste disposal, and 50-amp electrical service. Low-point drains are present for winterizing the plumbing.

The forward lounge area houses a daybed with a gray cushion and integrated storage, a folding table and chairs, overhead cubbies, a Bluetooth stereo, and Pioneer audio speakers. A Coleman air conditioner is mounted overhead, and further house equipment includes a Stiebel Eltron electric air heater, a water heater, ceiling vents, USB power ports, residential-style power outlets, and a 120-volt breaker panel.

The kitchenette is equipped with wide-plank mahogany countertops, white-finished cabinetry and drawers, and a stainless-steel sink in addition to a True Induction two-burner cooktop, a Summit microwave oven, and a refrigerator and freezer. The sleeping area is furnished with a full mattress, while the bathroom has a privacy door, a porcelain sink and toilet, and a shower with a tethered sprayer.
