1964 Airstream Land Yacht Ambassador

This 1964 Airstream Land Yacht Ambassador is a 28’ dual-axle travel trailer that was acquired by the seller’s late son in 2019. The trailer features an aluminum body as well as a front lounge area with a pull-out sleeping surface, a kitchenette, a walk-through bedroom, and a bathroom. Equipment includes hinged windows with shades, a refrigerator, a four-burner range, 15″ wheels, equipment compartments, a front stone guard, LED taillights, and shore connections. Work performed under current family ownership is said to have involved replacing the flooring as well as installing a rooftop-mounted air conditioner and an audio system with Bluetooth connectivity. This Land Yacht Ambassador is now offered at no reserve with a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.

The trailer measures approximately 28’ long and features an aluminum body, hinged windows, jalousie windows beside the entry door, a porch light, a retractable boarding step, a front stone guard, equipment compartments, and LED taillights. Dents and blemishes are visible on the body panels, and adhesive residue is present around the wheel arches.

The double-axle chassis rolls on steel wheels wearing polished covers and 7.00-15 Roadguider QH-505 tires. Stopping power is provided by electrically actuated drum brakes, and the chassis is equipped with a manual tongue jack. Infrastructure equipment includes a freshwater tank, a waste tank, a tongue-mounted propane tank, and shore connections for water, waste disposal, and electrical service.

The interior features woodgrain flooring, white-finished walls, privacy shades, two ceiling vents, a ceiling-mounted air conditioner, overhead lighting, and an audio system with Bluetooth connectivity and four speakers. The lounge area is furnished with a sofa that converts to a sleeping surface, a folding table, wall sconces, a skylight, and overhead storage cabinets. The flooring, audio system, and air conditioner were reportedly installed under current family ownership.

The galley kitchen is equipped with laminate countertops, a double-basin sink, a four-burner propane range, a refrigerator, an exhaust vent, overhead cabinets, and under-counter storage.

The walk-through bedroom offers a fold-out double bed as well as a vanity with an integrated mirror and hinged cover, storage cabinets, an upholstered ceiling, and three windows with privacy shades. The adjacent bathroom is outfitted with a toiletry cabinet and wardrobe, a sink, a mirror, a toilet, and a combination shower/bathtub.
