1961 Porsche-Diesel 238 Standard Star Tractor

This 1961 Porsche-Diesel 238 Standard Star Tractor was brought to the US from the UK and was acquired by the selling dealer in 2018. The tractor is finished in red with black accents and cream wheels. Power is provided by a 1.6-liter diesel inline-twin with Bosch fuel injection paired with a dual-range four-speed gearbox. Equipment includes headlights and taillights, a rear power take-off, and a fender-mounted backrest. This Standard Star tractor is now offered by the selling dealer in Novato, California, with workshop manuals and a bill of sale.

The tractor is said to have been refinished in red under the selling dealer’s ownership and features black headlight buckets, a suitcase-style muffler with a black mesh cover, Porsche Diesel and Standard Star badges, dual taillights, and a rear power take-off.

The cream-painted steel wheels wear 6.00–16 Firestone bias-ply tires up front and 11.2–28 Firestone Field & Road units out back, all four of which were reportedly fitted under the selling dealer’s ownership.

The driver is provided with a sprung steel seat finished in red. A black-painted passenger backrest is mounted on the left-rear fender.

The black three-spoke steering wheel frames a steel panel housing an engine temperature gauge and switchgear. The tractor is not equipped with an hour meter, and total runtime is unknown.
