1958 Porsche-Diesel Junior 108 Tractor

This 1958 Porsche-Diesel Junior 108 tractor was refurbished before being purchased out of Calw, Germany, by the seller in 2021. It is finished in red with beige wheels, and power is from an air-cooled 822cc diesel single paired with a dual-range three-speed manual transmission. A rear-facing bench has been added behind the operator’s station, and other equipment includes a fender-mounted jump seat, headlights, taillights, and dual power take-offs. This Junior 108 tractor is now offered in Pennsylvania with a bill of sale.

Porsche-Diesel Junior tractors were produced in short- and long-wheelbase variants between 1957 and 1961. The body and chassis of this short-wheelbase example were refinished in red under prior ownership. The tractor is equipped with curved aluminum grille panels, headlights and taillights, rear half-fenders, and Porsche-Diesel badging. A removable rear-facing bench inscribed with Porsche-Diesel lettering is positioned at the rear along with a step platform and wheel guards.

Beige-painted steel wheels are accented by red hubs out back and bright hub caps with PD lettering up front. They are mounted with 5.00-15″ front and 11.2-24″ rear BKT tires. Stopping power is from independent rear drum brakes.

The spring-suspended operator’s seat wears a padded red vinyl cover with yellow piping and Porsche Diesel embroidery. A jump seat with a cushion is mounted on the right fender, and controls consist of a throttle, a shifter, a transmission range selector, and brake pedals.

The three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of an instrument panel that houses a headlight switch, ignition and starter controls, a temperature gauge, and warning lights. The tractor is not equipped with an hour meter, therefore total operating hours are unknown.

The air-cooled 822cc diesel single was factory rated at 14 horsepower and is paired with a three-speed dual-range manual transmission that delivers six forward speeds and two in reverse. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a portal axle. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale.

The tractor is equipped with a front pin hitch, rear and mid-mounted power take-off shafts, and a drawbar with a ball hitch.
