This 1954 Allgaier AP22 tractor is said to have been refurbished under previous ownership before it was acquired by the selling dealer in August 2022. The tractor is finished in red with beige wheels and is powered by an air-cooled 1.5-liter diesel twin paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes headlights, taillights, a rear power take-off, a ball hitch, and a custom rear-facing bench. This AP22 tractor is now offered by the selling dealer in Jacksonville, Florida, with a bill of sale.
Allgaier manufactured tractors under license from Porsche until the license was purchased by Mannesmann AG in the late 1950s. This example was reportedly refinished in red under prior ownership, and exterior details consist of headlights, taillights, and an Allgaier engine cover badge.
Beige-painted steel wheels wear 4.50-16″ BKT tires up front and 9.5-32″ Grip King tires out back, and braking is handled by rear drums.
The steel operator’s seat wears a red vinyl cover with yellow piping, and a rear-facing wooden bench is installed between the fenders. Controls consist of a throttle, a shifter, and brake pedals.
The black three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of an instrument panel that houses a headlight switch, ignition and starter controls, and a temperature gauge with English and German labels. No hour meter is fitted, and total operating hours are unknown.
The air-cooled 1.5-liter diesel twin was factory rated at 22 horsepower and sends power to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a portal axle.
A fixed draw bar with a tow ball is mounted at the rear along with a pin hitch.
