This 1953 Spartan Royal Spartanette is a 35’ double-axle travel trailer that is said to have spent its life in Vermont, where it was acquired by the seller approximately two years ago. Subsequent work has reportedly included replacement of the hot water heater and water lines, toilet, faucets, floors, wheels, and tires. The exterior is finished in polished aluminum, and additional features include a kitchenette with a sink and four-burner stove, a bathroom with a standing shower, and wood cabinets and interior paneling. This Spartanette is being offered by the seller on behalf of his father in Massachusetts with manufacturer’s literature and Vermont registration.
The trailer measures 35’ long and features riveted polished aluminum body panels, four screened pop-up vents, three roof-mounted vents, and two doors on the right-hand side of the trailer. Work during current ownership has reportedly included polishing the body panels, repainting the trim, and replacing a section of rub rail on the right-hand side of the trailer. Three cracks in the windows are noted by the seller, along with corrosion along the bottom of various trim pieces.
The trailer features dual axles with wheels and tires that are said to have been recently replaced. A new front jack has been installed, and the hitch has been reinforced due to rust. The seller reports that the exterior lighting has not been tested, and the condition of the hubs and axles is unknown.
The cabin is lined with birch wood panels and was recently fitted with a red Marmoleum floor, along with a section of replacement ceiling and side paneling in the rear sleeping area. New full-size and twin mattresses were added, and additional amenities include a built-in cabinet at the front of the trailer, a leather armchair, a period-style dining table and chairs, curtains, and wall lamps. Two windows are reportedly unable to open.
The kitchenette features wood cabinets along with a sink and oven with a four-burner stovetop that is said to have undergone a recent cosmetic refurbishment. The faucets and water lines have been replaced per the seller, who notes that the oven has not been tested.
The bathroom features a standing shower, along with a sink and newer electric cassette toilet. A Bosch water heater has been fitted during current ownership along with replacement sanitary plumbing lines.
Various pieces of literature are included in the sale.
