This 1951 Ford 8N tractor is said to have spent time in Iowa and was subsequently refurbished by a collector in California before being acquired by the seller in 2014. The tractor is powered by a 120ci inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in gray with a red chassis and running gear. Features include a rear power take-off, a three-point hitch, headlights, and a single taillight. A double-axle trailer with loading ramps is included in the sale. This 8N tractor is offered at no reserve in Ohio with an operator’s manual, a shop manual, refurbishment photos, memorabilia, and bills of sale for both the tractor and trailer.
The engine cover and fenders were repainted gray with red Ford script under previous ownership, while the frame, drivetrain, suspension, and wheel hubs have been refinished in red. Features include a grille guard, a front ball hitch, rear half fenders, and side steps.
The six-bolt front and eight-bolt rear wheels are finished in gray and are wrapped in Firestone agricultural tires. Stopping power is provided by independent rear drum brakes.
The steel seat is finished in gloss black and mounted on a single flat spring. Controls consist of a hand throttle behind the steering wheel, a clutch pedal on the left, and twin brake levers on the right. The shift lever and starter button are mounted on top of the transmission case.
The black three-spoke steering wheel is fitted with a Brodie knob and sits ahead of an ammeter, an oil pressure gauge, and a tachometer. A choke control and a keyed ignition switch are located below the oil pressure gauge. Total operating hours are unknown.
The gasoline-powered 120ci side-valve inline-four was reportedly overhauled under prior ownership and was factory rated at 92 lb-ft of torque at 1,500 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
A hydraulically lifted three-point hitch assembly with a drawbar is mounted at the rear.
The double-axle trailer is equipped with a tongue jack, high-traction loading ramps, Dexter axles, and steel wheels.
A Ford Tractor “Ferguson System” sign is included in the sale along with a Ford “Red Belly” sign, an operator’s manual, a shop manual, memorabilia, and refurbishment photos.
