This 1949 International Harvester Farmall Cub tractor was purchased from an estate two years ago and used by the seller primarily in local parades. Restored ten years ago, it is powered by a 59.5ci 4-cylinder coupled to a 3-speed transmission, and is reported to run and operate well. As one of the most popular small tractors ever built, the Cub was in production from 1947-1981 with over 245,000 produced. Recently tuned up with new spark plugs, a carburetor rebuild and fresh gas, this tractor is being sold in Ohio at No Reserve with a bill of sale.

As the smallest tractor in the International Harvester lineup, the Farmall Cub was marketed to small acreage family farms and ranches. Early versions were only available in Harvester Red, and when restored in 2007 close attention was paid to correct finishes including the reproduction decals.

Only minimal wear is visible on the painted surfaces, and all controls are reported to operate smoothly. Equipped with 6-volt electrics and the optional electric starter, the lighting, and the lone amp gauge are also considered to be in good working order.

A key feature of the Cub was “Cultivision” where the operator steers from the right side while the drivetrain is on the left. This offset resulted in a better view of the working area. The front wheels can be reversed on the hubs to offer a wider track ranging from 40″ to 46″ and the rear wheels can be adjusted with spacers from 40″ to 56″. The power take off is reported to work well however, no implements are included.

The 59.5ci 4-cylinder produces 11hp and is coupled with a 3-speed manual transmission. All mechanicals were rebuilt during the restoration and the seller reports that it runs well and has only seen parade duty since. A tune up was performed one month ago consisting of new spark plugs, a carburetor rebuild, and fresh gas.
