1948 Ford 8N Tractor

This 1948 Ford 8N tractor is powered by a 120ci L-head inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in white and red. The tractor is said to have remained with one family from new and was refurbished before being acquired by the selling dealer in 2024. Features include headlights in addition to a rear power take-off, a three-point hitch, and a grille guard with a front tow bar. This 8N Tractor is now offered by the selling dealer in New Jersey with a bill of sale.

Equipment includes dual headlights, a grille guard with a tow bar, running boards, and rear half fenders. The tractor was refurbished under previous ownership, and photos with the body panels removed from the frame are provided in the gallery.

Six-bolt front and eight-bolt rear wheels are finished in white and mounted with 6.00-16″ Carlisle Farm Specialist tires up front and 11.2×28″ Carlisle 6-ply tires at the rear. Braking is handled by independent rear drums.

The steel seat is finished in red. Controls consist of a hand throttle behind the steering wheel, a clutch by the left foot, and twin levers for the independent brakes on the right. The shift lever and starter button are mounted on top of the transmission case.

A three-spoke steering wheel frames an ammeter and an oil pressure gauge. No additional instrumentation is present.

The gasoline-powered 120ci side-valve inline-four was factory rated at 16.9 horsepower and 84 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed in preparation for sale.

The tractor is equipped with a rear power take-off and a hydraulically lifted three-point hitch assembly. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
