1947 John Deere B

This 1947 John Deere B is powered by a 190ci twin paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The tractor was acquired by the seller’s father around 2014 and was refinished in green under a previous ownership. Equipment includes a rear power take-off, a Powr-Trol hydraulic system, a rear hitch, a side-mounted belt pulley, a rear work light, and headlights. This John Deere B is now offered at no reserve in Illinois with a bill of sale.

The Model B was produced at the John Deere factory in Waterloo, Iowa, between 1935 and 1952. This example has been refinished in green with yellow John Deere lettering, and features include a screen-style grille, headlights, a rear work light, and a black exhaust stack.

Yellow-finished steel wheels are mounted with 5.00-15″ Deestone tires in the front and 11.2-38″ Harvest King Field Pro R-Gator tires in the rear. The tractor is equipped with a narrow front axle for row crops, and the rear track width is adjustable.

The operator’s station houses a steel seat finished in green with John Deere lettering on the back. A shifter lever is mounted on top of the transmission case, and additional controls include a clutch lever, a hand throttle, and dual pedals for the individual rear brakes.

The three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a dash panel that houses gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and battery voltage. The tractor is not equipped with an hour meter, therefore total runtime is unknown.

The gasoline-fueled 190ci twin was rated at approximately 25 drawbar horsepower. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. An oil change was completed in preparation for sale.
