1987 Airstream Excella

This 1987 Airstream Excella is a double-axle travel trailer that is said to have been refurbished under prior ownership and was acquired by the current owner in 2022. The layout features a kitchenette, a dinette, a bathroom, and a rear bedroom with fold-down sofas. Amenities include a Zip Dee awning, a roof-top air conditioner, and hinged windows in addition to woodgrain flooring, a microwave oven, a refrigerator, and two flat-screen TVs. This Airstream Excella is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with manufacturer’s literature, records, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.

The trailer features an aluminum body, front stone guards, a folding boarding step, hinged windows with screens, and a Zip Dee camp-side awning. Additional details include clearance lights, equipment compartments, and an extended rear bumper with integrated storage.

The double-axle chassis rides on 15″ steel wheels that wear aluminum covers and 225/75 Carlisle Radial Trail tires. Stopping power is from electrically activated drum brakes. Equipment includes a power-operated tongue jack as well as connections for water, waste disposal, and electrical service. Cracks are visible in the sidewalls of the tires.

The interior was refreshed under prior ownership and is outfitted with aluminum walls, beige window shades, gray carpets, and woodgrain flooring in the lounge area. The kitchenette is equipped with a composite countertop, a stainless-steel sink, an Emerson microwave oven, a dual-fuel refrigerator/freezer, and latching aluminum-face cabinetry with woodgrain accents. The dinette has wraparound seating with cushions upholstered in purple vinyl and yellow cloth, and the power-operated telescoping tabletop can be lowered to form a sleeping surface. A Sony flat-screen TV and a built-in buffet are secured to the adjacent bulkhead, and a Coleman air conditioner is mounted overhead.

The rear bedroom has a full mattress with side bolsters, and additional appointments include wraparound windows, privacy shades, a double fan, overhead cabinets, a flat-screen TV, and audio speakers. Additional house entertainment equipment includes a Toshiba DVD player, a Sony audio/video media system, audio speakers, and a satellite receiver.

The bathroom features a vessel sink, a Dometic toilet, a power-operated ceiling vent, a toiletry cabinet, and a shower with a seat. The trailer is equipped with a demand-service water heater, and Pex plumbing components were reportedly installed throughout the trailer under prior ownership.
