This 1966 Avion T-21 is a single-axle travel trailer that features a forward dinette, a sofa, a kitchenette, and a bathroom. Additional amenities include a range, a refrigerator/freezer, a furnace, jalousie windows, a stand-up shower, and a Boss digital media receiver. The trailer is further equipped with a hand-operated tongue jack, two propane tanks, 15” wheels, and electric drum brakes. Acquired by the seller in 2022, this Avion trailer is now offered at no reserve with an owner’s manual and a Wisconsin title in the seller’s name.
The Avion Coach Corporation was founded in the 1950s by brothers Loren and Robert Cayo and initially produced aluminum-clad travel trailers in Benton Harbor, Michigan. This example is a 21’ model that features a single entrance with a screen door as well as a retractable boarding step, jalousie windows, a hand-operated tongue jack, a tubular bumper, a rear-mounted spare tire, utility hookups, and two propane tanks with polished guards. Pitting on exterior hardware, oxidation, dings, and scratches around the trailer can be viewed in the gallery below.
Steel 15” wheels wear disc hubcaps and are mounted with 225/75 Radar Angler RST21 tires. The trailer rides on a single axle equipped with leaf springs and electric drum brakes.
The dinette and side sofa convert into beds, and the cushions are trimmed in tan cloth. Woodgrain flooring is installed throughout the interior, and additional appointments include white window curtains, hexagonal mirrors, a roof vent with an electric fan, and a Boss digital media receiver and speakers.
The kitchenette offers a four-burner range, a sink, and a refrigerator/freezer as well as storage cabinets and drawers. The cabinets are said to have been refinished prior to the seller’s acquisition. The furnace and range have not been tested under current ownership.
The bathroom is separated by a privacy curtain and houses a stand-up shower, a toilet, a washbasin, a mirrored cabinet, and a light fixture. A circuit breaker box is located in a closet.
Rust is noted on underbody components, which can be viewed in the gallery.
An owner’s manual will accompany the trailer.
