This 1964 Lamborghini 2R tractor is said to be a 1964 model that was imported to the US from the UK, and wears later-style square bodywork refinished in orange and blue. Power is from an air-cooled 2,193cc diesel inline-three linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a rear portal axle. Additional equipment includes lighting, a hydraulic hitch, and dual rear-mounted power take-offs. This 2R is offered by the selling dealer with an Italian registration document and a California bill of sale.
Lamborghini badges and 2R decals are affixed to the square engine cover. Lighting includes headlamps, taillights, and fender clearance markers. Close-up photos are provided to show the condition of the finish and accessories in the gallery below.
The wheels measure 16″ and 28″ in diameter, and all four wear older tractor tires. The hubs and lug nuts have been painted blue to match the other mechanical components.
The operator sits on a sprung steel seat and is provided with controls including a shifter, levers to operate the hydraulically-actuated rear hitch, and individual brake pedals for the rear wheels. Instruments are housed in a rectangular metal panel that has been modified with additional indicator lights. The hour meter reads just under 4k, and actual operation hours are unknown.
The air-cooled 2,193cc triple was designed with the ability to be started on gasoline and switched over to diesel fuel once running thanks to a fuel atomizer patented by Ferrucio Lamborghini. A fluid service was reportedly performed in 2019, and the battery has been replaced.
The data tag mounted to the engine case shows the engine type and serial number 21764, with the corresponding case stamping directly beneath. A start-up video is shown below.
