This 1959 Porsche-Diesel Junior 108L tractor is said to have been refurbished in the 2000s and was purchased by the seller on BaT in June 2018. The tractor is finished in red with a beige and red steel seat, and power comes from an air-cooled 822cc diesel single paired with a dual-range three-speed manual gearbox. Additional equipment includes dual power take-offs, beige-painted wheels with agricultural tires, implement mounting points, and lighting. This Porsche tractor is now offered in North Dakota with period literature and a bill of sale.
Porsche-Diesel manufactured single-cylinder Junior tractors from 1952 to 1963, and this example features a rear-hinged hood along with front grilles, twin headlights, and “Porsche-Diesel” and “Junior” badges. This example was refinished in red under previous ownership and features dual taillights and a rear spotlight. The factory three-point hitch is missing.
Beige-painted steel wheels wear Firestone agricultural tires. Power take-offs are mounted at the rear and below the center of the tractor, which is also equipped with front and rear implement mounting points.
The driver is provided with a sprung steel seat painted beige and red as well as a steering wheel and a number of hand and foot controls. A Porsche crest shift knob is fitted.
The black three-spoke steering wheel fronts an instrument panel that houses a headlight switch and an hour meter, the latter of which shows just over 900 hours but is inoperable.
The air-cooled 822cc diesel single was factory rated at 14 horsepower when new and is linked to the rear wheels via a dual-range three-speed transmission. The factory glow plug equipment and wiring were removed under previous ownership.
