This 1959 Porsche 108L was purchased new by a dairy farmer in Mors, the Danish region of Jutland in Denmark. This tractor remained with the original owner’s family until acquired by the sellers in 2016. The tractor is powered by an 822cc air-cooled single cylinder diesel engine, and sends power to the rear wheels via a dual-range three-speed manual transmission. This tractor is an L model, which features a longer wheelbase and hydraulic power for tools and accessories. This Porsche Diesel is located in Denmark and is offered at no reserve with an original sales brochure on a bill of sale.
The seller reports that the tractor is unrestored, and the red paintwork and accessory mounts and hitches are worn. The finish is contrasted by yellow steel wheels and a yellow steel seat, and a set of lights are fitted front and rear, including a hinged spotlight on the right rear fender.
The aluminum Junior badge was not fitted to the forward-hinged hood when the photos were taken, but will be installed prior to delivery to the new owner. Per the seller, this tractor was not used with tools and was instead used by the original owners to deliver a milk cart from the farm to town.
Controls are provided for the power hitch, dual-range three-speed manual transmission, and brakes.
The tractor is powered by an 822cc single-cylinder diesel engine paired to a dual-range three speed manual transmission and rear portal axle. The Porsche diesel was designed to be modular with interchangeable cylinders and heads. Porsche used a fluid coupling rather than a conventional clutch on this generation of tractor for simpler operation. Per the seller the tractor has only needed an oil change during his ownership.
