1958 Porsche 308 N Super Diesel Tractor High Crop Model

This 1958 Porsche 308 N Super Diesel Tractor High Crop Model was purchased new in Washington, where it reportedly resided on a holly farm through acquisition by the seller in 2013. The tractor is finished in red, and the seller had the seat and large diameter wheels refinished and fitted with new tires. Power is provided by an air-cooled 2,467cc four-stroke three-cylinder diesel paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and a rear portal axle, and the tractor is equipped with a power-operated rear hitch assembly. This Porsche Super is offered with a Washington bill of sale.

The hood, cowl, and fenders have been repainted in red, and the engine, transmission case, and rear end show faded paintwork. The tractor is equipped with a rear portal axle, a PTO, and a hydraulically-actuated three-point hitch. A set of three-point lower arms are also included.

The seller reports that high crop models were equipped with larger diameter wheels, as well as a unique front wheel damping system not used on other Porsche tractors. The seller had the wheels refinished and fitted with new BKT tires, and repainted the sprung steel seat to match. The tractor is equipped with headlights, but is not fitted with taillamps or hazard lights.

The instrument panel houses a tachometer with an engine hour gauge, an oil pressure gauge, and an oil temperature gauge, as well as a glow plug indicator lamp. Just over 5,700 hours are shown.

Power is provided by an air-cooled 2,467cc four-stroke three-cylinder diesel engine, which sends drive to the rear portal axle via a 5-speed manual transmission. A set of removable counterweights are mounted under the forward bodywork ahead of the ducted cooling fan.
