This 1957 Porsche-Diesel P122 tractor was acquired by the seller out of England in 2021 and is said to have been subsequently refurbished. The tractor is finished in red with beige wheels and is powered by an air-cooled 1,644cc two-cylinder diesel paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes headlights, taillights, front and rear pin hitches, and three power take-off shafts. This P122 tractor is offered in Blairstown, New Jersey, with a bill of sale.
The Porsche-Diesel P122 was designed in collaboration with Allgaier and was known as the A122 until 1956 when Porsche took over production. The body and running gear on this example are said to have been refinished in red under current ownership. Features consist of headlights, taillights, a hinged engine cover, rear half-fenders, and Porsche-Diesel badging.
Beige-painted steel wheels wear 6.00-16 front and 12.4-28 rear BKT tires, and braking is handled by rear drums.
The operator’s station features a red steel seat and running boards. Controls consist of a throttle, a shifter, PTO levers, and brake pedals.
The black four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a black dash panel housing a horn button, ignition and starter controls, and a switch for the headlights and taillights. The aftermarket hour meter shows less than one hour of runtime, and total operating hours are unknown.
The air-cooled 1,644cc two-cylinder diesel engine is equipped with Bosch fuel injection, and power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a portal axle. The clutch was reportedly serviced under prior ownership. The alternator does not work.
The tractor is equipped with two rear and one front power take-off shafts as well as front and rear pin hitches.
The chassis tag shows the model number, serial number, engine displacement, and year of manufacture.
