This 1957 Porsche Diesel 111 tractor was produced at Mannesman AG under the Porsche name, sold new in Germany, and was acquired and imported by the selling dealer in 2018. The 111 entered production prior to the Porsche Junior, and this example is reportedly among the first built. Powered by a 822cc diesel single-cylinder engine, it also features a 4-speed manual transmission, rear-wheel drive, a portal axle, a power take-off, and a sprung seat. Work in preparation for sale will include a general service. This Porsche tractor is offered by the selling dealer with its original German title and a Georgia bill of sale.
The red finish is contrasted by off-white rear wheels wearing original-style tires. The paint shows wear-through and other signs of age in several areas. The seller points out missing chrome trim including the center hood bar. The tractor is equipped with headlights, taillights, and rear turn signals.
A speed limit warning sign is affixed to the left rear fender. The 111 used an earlier style of hitch and accessory drive than the Junior, and this example is equipped with a broad hitching plate mounted low below the portal axle. A PTO drive is visible inside the upper hitching assembly.
The control panel includes a glow plug and temperature indicators as well as a light switch. No hour meter is fitted, and total operating hours are unknown.
Controls are provided for the individual rear wheel brakes and PTO as well as a hand throttle, clutch, and gear shifter.
The air-cooled 822cc diesel single sends power to the rear wheels via a 4-speed conventional manual transmission and a portal axle.
A simultaneous walk-around and driving video is viewable above. The sale will include period paperwork from Germany.
