1952 Allis-Chalmers CA Tractor

This 1952 Allis-Chalmers CA tractor was refurbished under prior ownership and purchased by the seller in 2024. The tractor has been refinished in orange with beige wheels, and power is from a gasoline-fueled 125ci inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a chrome exhaust stack, headlights, rear half fenders, a pin hitch, and a rear power take-off. This Model CA is now offered at no reserve in Missouri with a bill of sale.

The Allis-Chalmers CA tractor succeeded the Model C in 1949 and had a higher horsepower rating. Just under 40k units were reportedly produced through 1958. This example is said to have been refinished in orange under prior ownership and has a contoured engine cover, a mesh grille, and an aftermarket chrome exhaust stack. Other features include headlights, a single taillight, a rear work light, rear half fenders, and Allis-Chalmers graphics. The seller notes blemishes in the paint.

The steel wheels are painted beige up front, while the rear wheels have silver rims with beige centers. They are mounted with Goodyear front and 12.4-24″ Firestone rear tires that show cracks in the sidewalls. Braking is handled by independent band-style rear drums, and the tractor has a wide-track front axle and an adjustable rear track.

The operator’s station houses a steel seat suspended on a coilover damper. Controls include a hand throttle, a transmission output shaft disconnect lever, a foot pedal for the engine clutch, a shifter, and dual pedals for the individual rear brakes.

The three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a body-color instrument panel that houses an Allis-Chalmers-branded ammeter, and a coolant temperature gauge is recessed within the engine cover. The tractor is not equipped with an hour meter, therefore total operating hours are unknown.

The gasoline-fueled 125ci inline-four sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale, and the seller notes oil leaks.

The tractor is equipped with a belt pulley, a pin hitch, a rear power take-off shaft, and a snap-coupler assembly for use with compatible Allis-Chalmers implements.
